About Measure E
What
is Measure E?
On November 2, 1999, voters in the Foothill-De Anza Community College District
approved by a 71.9 percent margin a $248 million bond (Measure E) to repair
and rehabilitate college facilities to meet current health, safety and instruction
standards. Approximately $130 million have been earmarked for renovation and
construction at De Anza. The projects include replacing aging roofs, deteriorated
plumbing and electrical systems; refurbishing classrooms, science laboratories
and restrooms; and constructing science and high-tech computer labs, classrooms
and school facilities.
