Join us for the tale of a pioneering winemaking family in the Santa Clara Valley and Santa Cruz Mountains during the 1920s and Prohibition, with a talk and book signing by the author, refreshments, including wine, and an update on the CHC’s Silicon Valley Documentation Project.
Dr. Coates used the California History Center's library and archives to conduct research for his work.
Coates is the Director of Creative Writing at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, and has completed two other historically-based novels about California and this region, The Blossom Festival, and The Master of Monterey. Books will be available for purchase. Read more on the author's website.
