MARCH to the State Capitol
for Student Rights 

on Monday, March 5, 2012

Students, faculty and staff of De Anza will join CSU's, UC's, CCC's, and K-12 students in a mass rally march to the State Capitol at noon in response to the budget cuts to education.

 

DASB has funded 6 buses to Sacramento for 300 students.

 

Sign Up Today!

We are taking signups for seating on the bus but you must be at the parking lot on time to get your seat, first come, first serve basis. Bus riders will be required to sign a waiver.


Buses will be leaving at 6 a.m. at Student Lot A See map.

March in March is being organized by student-led De Anza Restoring Education!, Institute of Community and Civic Engagement, Students for Justice, and S.A.F.E. Transportation and food sponsored by DASB.


Occupy for Education: Monday, Feb. 27 — Thursday, March 1

Throughout the week leading up to the march in March, Occupy for Education at De Anza tents will be occupied in the Main Quad to provide information on budget cuts as well details about the march to the California State Capitol on March 5.

GAs will be held each day in the Main Quad at 5 p.m.

 

What's a GA? It's a space for general assembly to share information and create solutions.
