About De Anza Distance Learning

Located in the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay area, De Anza College is a public community college offering undergraduate and vocational college courses. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

The De Anza College Distance Learning Center offers a variety of lower division courses for students interested in learning at flexible time schedules. Courses are delivered online with video and/or interactive components. Courses are designed to meet the various needs of students and may be delivered completely "at a distance" or include on-campus, face-to-face meetings with instructors. Specifics on the delivery of each course are included in the Distance Learning schedule of classes for each quarter.

Distance Learning courses are available in a variety of disciplines including business, child development, computers, creative arts, science, intercultural studies, language arts and social science. They are equivalent academically to on-campus courses, and many meet General Education and transfer requirements for California public institutions of higher learning.
