Catalyst Upgrade Summer 2010

Catalyst live and development servers have been upgraded and reinstalled with Moodle 1.9.9. There are not a lot of feature changed between 1.9.9 and the previous version 1.9.6. The newer version has better security with a few bugs fixed.

De Anza Catalyst version customized features:

• Mail block will replace InternalMail, which was a student project and has not been supported for a while. The mail block is more funtional and robust.
• Outcome feature is turned on. Outcomes can be set and assessed in relation to existing assignments and exams, and evaluated but not included in overall numeric grade. This feature will help De Anza faculty members integrate Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) into their Catalyst courses.
