Online Orientation for CIS -D15AG-62Z with Spera Georgiou
Many De Anza Distance Learning classes use web delivered content, quizzes and communication. If the course is not totally online or distance learning, it is considered to be a "hybrid" class. These classes that combine many technologies are becoming increasingly common. Check in your course syllabus to see what technologies are required for your distance learning course.

Is my computer ready for distance learning?
Does your computer make the grade? If your computer does not meet these requirements, you may need to come to campus to use the computers in the Open Media Lab that are available for your use.*
  • Computer: Pentium IV class or Macintosh G5
  • Operating System: Windows XP or Mac OS 10.4 or above
  • 1 GB of RAM or above
  • Computer with broadband internet connectivity
  • Latest Firefox web browser (download for free here!).

* If you computer does not meet the requirements above, you may still be able to access your course. This list represents the
recommended minimum specifications. Computers which do not meet the above specifications may find access to their course unacceptably slow.
