purpose of this
course is to introduce the student to the roles and responsibilities of
managers in organizations. The class emphasizes experiential
learning
and self-inquiry to explore the job of a manager, including the
managerial
environment, the four functions of management (planning, organizing,
leading,
and controlling), decision-making, effective communications, and
management
ethics. This
online multimedia course uses streaming video case studies to
allow you to practice and discuss managerial situations with your
classmates.
De
Anza offers a Certificate of Achievement and an Associates
Degree in Management. This course is a core requirement for
those programs and the Business Administration programs. It is an
elective for our Marketing and Business Administration programs.
