Math 41 PreCalculus Algebra I

This course is the first of a 3-course sequence which follows Intermediate Algebra (Math 114) and is a prerequisite for the Calculus Sequence (Math 1A-1D). The understanding is that if you are enrolled in this sequence it is your intent/desire to enroll in the calculus sequence in the near future.
Make sure you read the General Information.

Spend some time completing the Weekly Schedule to make sure you know how you are using your time. Account for virtually every activity: eating, sleeping, driving to school, classes, study times, fun times, etc. Make sure every time slot is accounted for. This process will help you manage your time during this term.
Math 41 is primarily about algebraic (including quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic) functions, but also emphasizes graphing and tabular means of describing functions.
The first chapter we cover is actually a review chapter, found in the appendix section of the text. Therefore, it is expected that all the information in that section is (more than) familiar to you. Spend the time now to review its contents; make sure your algebra skills from Math 114 are excellent.
(( Math 42 is basically about trigonometry; and Math 43 continues additional pre-calculus topics, with emphasis on advanced algebraic and analytic geometry functions. Once you reach calculus, you will be expected to recall and use any of the information covered in all of these pre-calc courses. ))
Note: I use the Larson PreCalculus-with-Limits text when teaching all 3 courses of this sequence.
