Never stop doing little things for others. Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts. - Rita Ghatourey
M.A.Human Development, Pacific Oaks College, 2003; B.A.Child Development, Chico State University
I have a passion for learning, in and out of the classroom. I find that nearly every encounter is an opportunity for learning and for growth. My education provided a foundation full of theories and philosophies describing human growth and development. Raising three children provided real life experience which supported or negated what I had learned in the classroom. I look forward to sharing what I have learned, even more so I look forward to learning from you.
I also enjoy being in nature, whether out on a hike, playing in my garden, seeing organisms and activity in my worm bin, tending my mini-orchard and camping. Cooking is a favorite hobby using the fruit from my trees and experimenting with spices and flavors.
I am a docent at Filoli Estate in Woodside where I lead groups on hikes in the back country, and work in the kitchen making herb and spice concoctions to be sold in the gift shop.
