Fee Waivers

Board of Governors Fee Waiver

The Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOG) is funded by the State of California to waive in full the amount of enrollment fee charged to eligible students who are California residents. The Board of Governors Fee Waiver offers three ways for students to qualify to have their enrollment fees waived by the State:

BOG-A

Qualified applicants (or parents, if applicant is dependent) must be currently receiving TANF (Temporary Aid For Needy Families), SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or General Assistance/General Relief through the county social services department.

BOG-B

Qualified applicants (and parents, if applicant is dependent) do not exceed the income standards.

BOG-C

Qualified applicants have filed the FAFSA, federal financial aid application, listing De Anza College and have financial need.

Application for Board of Governors Fee-Waiver (BOG)

Students must apply for the BOG each school year.

  • BOG-A applicants must complete the BOG application available in the Financial Aid Office and provide proof of current assistance.
  • BOG-B applicants must complete the BOG application available in the Financial Aid Office. The completed application must contain valid income data and signatures.
  • BOG-C applicants must have filed the FAFSA, federal financial aid application. It is essential that De Anza College be listed to receive the applicant's data. No BOG application is required.
