Description:
In this modular workshop series, we will
- discuss the model minority myth: How are students from the Southeast Asian (SEA), Filipino, and Pacific Islander communities overlooked when it comes to discussions about under representation in higher education?
- watch videos with interviews from students, faculty, and staff that discuss the different challenges students from these communities face
- learn a brief history of each population: How do their immigration or refugee stories affect their perceptions of education?
Attend a short 50-minute "Fly By" workshop on one of our targeted subgroups, or
an All-Together training that includes all 4 videos followed by a lively discussion.
