• U.S. Education Secretary to Deliver Keynote at De Anza College Commencement Ceremony De Anza College's 43rd annual commencement will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, at the college's Outdoor Events Arena.

  De Anza College's 42nd annual commencement will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at the college's Outdoor Events Arena. Author and lecturer Tamim Ansary will serve as keynote speaker.

• Traveling Art Installation at De Anza Depicts Lost Lives from War
  Hundreds of De Anza College students, faculty and staff paused on the Main Quad to view the visually arresting "Counting Lives Lost: Making Tangible an Abstract Measure of Grief" on the first school day the art exhibition was installed on campus.

• Visual & Performing Arts Center Grand Opening Slated for March 6-8
  The grand opening of the De Anza College Visual & Performing Arts Center will be held March 6-8 and will include the official ribbon-cutting, performances by lauded pianist Howard Na, the De Anza Wind Ensemble and the award-winning Shri Krupa Dance Company, and the exhibition "Looking Back, Looking Ahead" at the Euphrat Museum of Art.

  De Anza College's 40th annual commencement will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the college's Outdoor Events Arena. State Assemblymember Anna M. Caballero will serve as keynote speaker.

• De Anza College Student Films at Cinequest
  Two student films produced in the De Anza College Film/TV program have been selected for Cinequest Film Festival 17: "The Reason" by Michael Chance and "The Truth of the Matter" by Car Nazzal. Both Chance and Nazzal are from San Jose.
• Hundreds to Attend De Anza Youth Leadership Conference
  More than 200 high school and college students will converge at De Anza College for its second annual youth leadership conference, Youth Voices United for Change.

• De Anza College Receives $1.08 million Nursing Education Gift
De Anza College and Community Foundation Silicon Valley today announced a $1.08 million gift through the foundation's Silicon Valley Scholars Scholarship Fund that will enable De Anza to educate an additional 66 nurses over the next five years.

  Trumpeter Marvin Stamm and pianist Bill Mays, two of the best-known and most renowned musicians on the international jazz scene, will be the featured guest artists at this year's 25th annual Herb Patnoe Memorial Jazz Festival.
