Pathway and Landscaping Improvement near Mary Avenue
Construction begins Friday, May 31 on pathway and landscaping improvements near the Mary Ave. entrance to the campus.
 Expect periodic traffic lane closure on Campus Drive and intermittent pedestrian detours.
Parking Lot J will be closed on Friday, May 31, with limited parking in that lot throughout the project to accommodate construction materials and vehicles. Work is expected to be completed by the start of fall quarter 2013. See more details about the projects.
Advanced Technology Center
Tarring will be complete end of May. An aroma arrester is in place over the tar kettle to mitigate order.
Exterior painting will start week of May 6 and be complete end of May.
Jackhammering in the loading dock area (east side of ATC) will occur May 13-15.
The ATC modernization project will address HVAC deficiencies, Telecom decentralization and a refresh of building spaces. A new mechanical system is being installed. The removal and replacement of all air-handling units with duct cleaning and limited duct replacement. A new roof is being installed due to the extent of the deterioration of the roof. The bathrooms are being renovated to meet current codes and receive new finishes, and the interior is receiving new paint and floor finishes. Full exterior lighting replacement and select interior lighting replacement is also be provided. This project is using the Lease-Leaseback Delivery method. Pre-construction began in August 2012. The project completion date is November 2013. The budget of this project is $10.7 million.

Stadium & Track Renovation
The Athletics Stadium and Track reopened for community use in April 2013.

O.C. Jones & Sons were awarded a $5.39 million construction contract for renovation of De Anza's sports stadium and supporting infrastructure during spring 2012.
Corporation Yard
The Corporation Yard Renovation project is complete. The project re-configured existing space within the building and fenced yard. Plant, grounds and Custodial services now occupy the building.
The building provides much needed shop warehouse and office space. Changes to the yard included eliminating a seldom used loading dock, drainage and circulation improvements with designated locations for recycling bins, equipment storage an electric cart parking. Canopy solar panels and sky lights were included to reduce energy consumption. Cart charging stations and parking will be located under the photovoltaic canopies. Project budget was $3.4 million.

Update: Bond committee notes Measure C progress, wise spending
The 2010-2011 report of the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee noted significant progress on projects and that the district is in compliance with all legal requirements. Read the district's Feb. 14, 2012 news release here. In addition, the recent report by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) reaffirming De Anza's accreditation commended the college's management of major facilities construction.
