Free Student Success and Support Services Workshops Offered This Fall

A variety of workshops are planned this fall to help students succeed at De Anza and beyond.

Group of graduates holding degreesWhether you are brand new to college or preparing to apply to a four-year university, you'll find topics of interest throughout the quarter.

Many workshops start the fourth week of classes and continue throughout the quarter, sponsored by different departments on campus. Take a look at the offerings. Then mark your calendar with the dates and times.

Also don't miss our annual Transfer Day College Fair on Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Main Quad!

Workshop Topic Areas

  • Academic Skills
    Topics include note-taking, textbook reading skills, how to communicate in reading groups, and goal setting and motivation, just to name a few! Sponsored by the Student Success Center.

  • Choosing a Major and/or Career  Workshops
    Advance registration is required. Learn to identify potential college majors and career options based on The True Colors Personality System. Sponsored by Counseling and Advising Center.

  • Stress Management Workshops
    Attend a series of educational workshops on mental health. Sponsored by Psychological Services.

  • Transfer Center Workshops
    Learn about the UC and CSU application process and how to write the Personal Statement. Sponsored by the Transfer Center.
