Annual Trip to Ashland Shakespeare Festival Planned for Summer Quarter 2009
English Literature 97: Shakespeare in Performance

Thursday - Monday, August 13 - 17, 2009
Each year De Anza College sponsors a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. It's a fun excursion for those who love live theatre, cheerful company and stimulating discussion.
Cost for the trip is approximately $775, plus registration fees, and includes the following:
- Chartered coach transportation
- Reserved performance seating
- Breakfasts and dinners
- Two pre-trip tutorials
- Play synopses and materials
- Outdoor Elizabethan, two indoor theatres
- Round table discussions during the festival
- Afternoon Q&A sessions with festival actors and technicians
- Double room at Southern Oregon University (single available)
Reserved Performances
Thursday: Macbeth
Friday: Music Man
Friday: Don Quixote
Saturday: Much Ado About Nothing
Sunday: All's Well That Ends Well
Sunday: Henry VIII
The group is limited to 30 participants, who will be enrolled by the professor on a first-come, first-served basis.
De Anza instructors Julie Pesano and Brian Smith will be co-teaching the class.
