ADELA Scholarship

Each year De Anza awards ADELA scholarship(s) based on fundraising efforts and hosts a recognition ceremony for all graduating and transfer students who wish to participate.

Four ADELA scholarship winnersThis year, we awarded four $1,000 scholarships to our transferring students, pictured from left: Angelica Esquivel, Oraly Heraz Sanchez, Andrea Ceballos and Jose Roman.

We hope to increase the number of scholarships awarded next year!

Please consider supporting the ADELA scholarship fund through a payroll deduction! See how below.

Please check back for
the LRC 2014 ceremony date!

As soon as we know, we'll post the information for next year's event so that you can mark your calendar to attend.  We'll be celebrating our 20th year for celebrating the students in our Latina/o community at De Anza!

Support the ADELA Scholarship Fund

It's really easy to give!  Visit the FHDA Foundation website to download the Payroll Deduction Form. Just be sure to identify your contribution for the "Latina/Latino Recognition Fund."  All contributions are tax deductible. Remember no amount is too small and is deeply appreciated.

Students are eligible to apply for the ADELA scholarship after applying for graduation and/or meeting with a counselor/advisor to verify transfer coursework and completion.

More details will follow in spring 2014 regarding the application and deadline for applying for this scholarship.

Planning Committee
