Steps for New Students Planning to Start Classes in Fall 2014

If you are a graduating high school senior, you can get started now!

Complete the online application

  • Apply for summer or fall admission.
    Complete your application and get your De Anza student ID number as far in advance as possible.

Make an appointment to take Math and English placement tests

  • For full details, visit the Assessment Center website. Be sure to review the Placement Test Checklist so that you can be PREPARED!

Sign up for and successfully complete an orientation

Based on your assessment results, choose your courses for fall 2014

  • Choose the English and math class recommended on your placement test results.
  • Choose one general educational class.
  • Go to DegreeWorks and input your classes for the fall 2014 quarter.

Attend the Spring New Student & Parent Open House

 
  • SAVE the DATE!  Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Sunken Garden.
  • We'll have on-site orientation, limited placement testing, campus tours, financial aid assistance, expert guidance on getting started, and more!
  • Bring your new Student ID number with you!
