The Sankofa Scholars program is devoted to helping De Anza students get through their basic skills (Math and English) along with their core major courses so they can better prepare to transfer.

“When I first started De Anza College, I did not know where to begin. All the courses and numbers seemed so foreign. I felt utterly lost in the midst of such a new environment. My first quarter I met Will and that was when my life turned its course. I finally had guidance to get me where I am now. Without Sankofa, I guarantee you, I would not be transferring right now.”
