As a community college, part of De Anza's mission is to challenge students of every background to serve their community in a diverse and changing world. While De Anza's student base is mostly local, Silicon Valley — the local community in which De Anza resides — reaches far beyond the city of Cupertino or even the San Francisco Bay region.

Consequently, we recognize our responsibility to participate at all levels in a variety of partnerships to solve the many challenges we face environmentally, socially and economically on our planet.
