Transfer Planning
Careful planning is required for you to successfully transfer to a 4-year
institution. Creating a transfer plan that incorporates admission and lower division
GE, major, and elective requirements is key.

The three segments of higher
education in California are highlighted here, but coursework from De Anza College may
be used to transfer to out-of-state institutions as well. Students are advised to contact the Admission Offices of each prospective transfer institution and work closely with their advising staff and a De Anza College counselor or academic advisor to better prepare for transfer.
