Transfer Admission Agreement / Guarantee (TAA/TAG)
TAA/TAG OverviewA Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA) or Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), is a contractual agreement that provides De Anza College students guaranteed admission to a participating California State University, University of California, independent or out-of-state institution. A TAA may not be available for all majors, impacted programs, and colleges or schools at a participating TAA college or university. Students who write a TAA must satisfy specified course and admission requirements in a timely manner in order to be guaranteed admission to the participating four-year institution. Students interested in submitting a TAA are encouraged to meet with a De Anza College counselor, academic adviser or four-year university representative to review TAA eligibility and requirements. When a counselor's signature is required to submit a TAA students must schedule an appointment in the Counseling & Advising Center prior to the close of the TAA filing period. Students are advised to schedule as early as possible as counselor appointment times may be limited. Currently, the following universities require a De Anza College counselor's signature as part of the TAA submission process: CSU Monterey Bay , The National Hispanic University, and the University of the Pacific. Participating schools that do not require a counselor's signature include: Cogswell Polytechnical College and Kettering University. Community college transfer students may submit only one TAG to the University of California and must meet campus-specific admission and TAG requirements to be eligible. See the matrix and links below for more information about UC TAGs. Students are advised to consult with a De Anza College counselor or academic adviser as early as possible to confirm your choice of classes and to develop an education plan for transfer. To schedule an appointment with a De Anza counselor or academic adviser visit the Counseling & Advising Center, located on the 2nd floor of the Student & Community Services Building. TAA/TAG MatrixStudents interested in completing a TAA/TAG should review the specific eligibility requirements, terms and conditions, restrictions, and deadlines for each prospective TAA college or university (see links below).
