Minimum number of UC-transferable units required to sign TAG:  45 quarter units must be completed prior to writing the TAG.

Minimum number of UC-transferable units required to complete TAG:  90 quarter units must be completed by the end of summer prior to fall transfer, by the end of fall prior to winter transfer, or by the end of winter prior to spring transfer.

Minimum GPA required to sign TAG: Varies*

* Requirements may vary depending on major and residency status.  Special supplemental information should be read before signing the TAG.  See the UC Riverside TAG Brochure for more information on minimum GPA requirements.

Minimum GPA required to complete TAG:  Varies (see below)

  • College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (other than Business Administration):  2.4 GPA
  • Business Administration:  2.5 GPA
    (and completion of all required courses necessary to satisfy selection criteria as outlined on
  • Bourns College of Engineering: 2.8 GPA
    (and completion of the Engineering selection criteria as outlined on or at
  • College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences:  2.7 GPA
    (and work towards completing MATH 1A, 1B, and 1C at De Anza College.)
  • Maintain good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) during your last full term of attendance before transfer.

TAG available to International Students?  Yes

TAG available to AB 540 qualified Students?  Yes

All coursework for a UC Riverside TAG must have been taken at a California community college.  Although UC Riverside accepts course work from other colleges and universities, UC Riverside TAG contracts are written for students with coursework taken exclusively at California community colleges.

For 2010-2011, UC Riverside TAG applicants must meet with a UCR Counselor before the appropriate TAG deadline and prior to submitting a UC application.

For 2010-2011, UC Riverside TAG contracts are accepted year-round, but should be written at least two months prior to the UC application filing period (see "UC Application Filing Period" section below) for the desired quarter.
