WEEKEND COLLEGEplus allows you to take classes that fit your schedule — weekend, evening, online or self-paced! We offer a flexible way to take the classes you need to achieve your goals.

Earn an associate's degree in 24 months or take classes that fit both your interests and schedule. This is the program for you if your work schedule doesn't allow you to attend traditional day classes.

(Note: Weekend classes and college service hours are not offered during the summer session.)

Getting Started

• Learn about our General Education and graduation requirements and majors and areas of study for the A.A./A.S degree at De Anza College.
• Visit our instructional division and department Web sites to find out more about individual degree programs.
• Check out our searchable online schedule of classes. Select Distance Learning (for online courses), evening or a weekend day to see WEEKEND COLLEGEplus classes offered.
• All students must apply for admission to De Anza.

WEEKEND COLLEGEplus Benefits

• Flexibility in scheduling
• Reserved parking in the Flint Parking Structure on Flea Market Saturdays (1st Saturday of every month). Student parking sticker or $2 required.
• Meet people with similar academic goals and schedules

Extended Weekend Hours for Key Services (Note: Weekend hours are not offered in summer)

• Admissions and Records: Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — First two weeks of quarter
• Bookstore: Open some Saturdays. Check Bookstore hours for exact dates and times.
• Cashier's Office: Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — First two weeks of quarter
• Library: Fridays 4 to 7 p.m. (Library Express only) and Saturdays 10 a.m to 4 p.m. (full Library & Internet Lab Services)
• Placement Tests (Assessment Center): See test subject schedules for hours.
• Le Cafe: Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. — First four weeks of quarter

Note: The college will be closed on Saturdays in observation of the following 2009-2010 holidays:

• Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 26-29, 2009
• Presidents Day Weekend: Feb. 12-15, 2010
• Memorial Day Weekend: May 29-31, 2010

How Weekend Collegeplus Works

Step 1

Apply for admission and get your date and time to register.

Step 2

Find the classes you would like to take on the De Anza online searchable schedule page. Students register for their classes four times a year — fall, winter, spring and summer. Assistance with registration is provided to students who have completed Counseling 100. The registration fee for WEEKEND COLLEGEplus classes is the same as it is for all other classes at De Anza.

Counselors are available during regular business hours. Once your educational plan is set up, you have the flexibility to take any combination of classes offered—traditional face-to-face, weekend, evening, online or self-paced.

Step 3

Pay for your courses within five days. Financial aid is available to students who qualify.

Step 4

Attend classes! Please note that some online classes have face-to-face orientations that you must attend. Check with the Distance Learning department for times and location.
