Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is WEEKEND COLLEGEplus? WEEKEND COLLEGEplus is an enhanced De Anza College program that allows you to accomplish your academic goals with a flexible schedule. Flexible scheduling can include a combination of traditional face-to-face, weekend, evening, online and self-paced classes. Who would benefit from the WEEKEND COLLEGEplus program? This program is for all students. It is particularly effective for students who have an educational plan. If you wish to pursue a degree, you should take a Counseling 100 course and set up an educational plan. Can WEEKEND COLLEGEplus students take classes during the day? Yes, you can take any combination of classes that suits your schedule. Are WEEKEND COLLEGEplus courses offered during summer session? De Anza offers an extended list of evening and online courses during the summer session; however, our weekend class offering is limited. Please check the online schedule of classes for complete listing of classes that fit within your schedule. Note: College and student services are closed on Saturday sduring the summer. Can traditional students take WEEKEND COLLEGEplus courses? Yes, weekend, evening, online and self-paced courses are available to all De Anza students. What are the advantages of becoming a WEEKEND COLLEGEplus student? A WEEKEND COLLEGEplus student gets early registration as a continuing student and access to counselors. Also you become part of a community. You will meet people with similar academic goals and schedules. Who can participate on the WEEKEND COLLEGEplus Listserv? Anyone who is interested can sign up for the WEEKEND COLLEGEplus listserv. Please be courteous with your questions and responses. If you are disruptive or rude to fellow students, you will be removed from further participation. Are WEEKEND COLLEGEplus students eligible for financial aid? Yes.
