WelcomePersian is one of many world languages taught at De Anza. We provide a wide range of course levels to meet the needs of our students, including introductory and/or elementary sequences for all foreign languages offered, and intermediate and advanced courses for some. Regretably, during Spring 2013 we canceled low-enrolled courses two weeks prior to the beginning of the quarter. In these very tight budgetary times, classes with fewer than twenty (20) students are just not sustainable. Going forward, students registering as early as you can will be the key to sustaining a strong Persian language program at De Anza College. See you this Fall, 2013! If you have studied a language at another institution, to accurately assess your past instruction (and support your success in further Persian language study), we require a World Languages Prerequisite Clearance to register in PERS 2 or higher. If you wish to contact an instructor, see our Persian department faculty list. Please follow these general rules to decide which course level is best for you.
