Library Donations

Policy
The Library will add gift material to its collection if it supports the mission of the Library which is to support instruction at De Anza, and as space permits. Video tapes and DVDs must be close captioned. Books and other materials given to the Library become the property of the Library and these may be placed in a book sale or recycled for paper product.

The most useful donations are new books and replacements for missing items that enrich current college instruction. Items not serviceable include older well-used paperbacks, and outdated textbooks.

Any list of donated items must be completed by the donor in advance if it is desired. We are not able to provide a tax receipt which places a value on the donated books, but for tax purposes, a form or letter will be supplied to the donor noting the number of paperback and hard cover books received.

Beyond books and materials, the Learning Center Endowment Fund is part of the Foothill-De Anza Foundation. Monetary donations on behalf of the library can be made through this fund. Thank you for interest in donating to the De Anza Library.
